Rabbits
Before we became The Urban Chicks, we started out as Sassy Lops & Hops (SL&H), where our focus was on raising and showing English Lops. Over time, our rabbitry has grown and branched out to include Silver Fox, Crème D’Argent, and of course, our beloved English Lops.
Many of our rabbits have earned “legs” in shows, but the experience has been about more than ribbons and titles. Traveling to shows has given us the chance to connect with other farmers and like-minded people both within and beyond our region. Those connections have turned into lasting friendships and a community that stretches far past the rabbit world.

The Breeds
At our farm, we prioritize the breeding of Crème d’Argent and Silver Fox rabbits. It is essential for us to support rare breeds in restoring their status on the livestock conservation list. Silver Fox rabbits are valued for their dual-purpose use, providing both meat and pelts. Similarly, Crème d’Argents are also recognized for their meat and pelts.
